"No person as to whom such an order has been entered shall be held thereafter under any provision of any law to be guilty of perjury, or to be guilty of otherwise giving a false statement or response to any inquiry made for any purpose, by reason of his failure to recite or acknowledge any expunged entries concerning apprehension or trial."
Translation? When asked whether you have ever been convicted or accused of a crime, you do not have to give information about the charge that you have just expunged. As far as the court system is concerned, the charge never happened.
The Order of Expunction does not mean that information about this charge will never appear again. While the order expunges "officials records," or "records from the court," private (non-government) agencies who provide data are not covered by this statute.
