More North Carolinians Applying for Expungements

As the job market remains highly competitive, more and more North Carolinians are taking steps to get rid of their criminal records.

Expungements, or expunctions, are available in certain situations, often for misdemeanors or criminal charges against a minor. Recently, however, Governor Perdue signed a law expanding eligibility for expungements to those who committed a non-violent felony at age 16 or 17.
